A Bessemer man convicted of murder was transported to the Marquette Branch Prison Wednesday.

Kenneth Peters was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole on a First Degree Murder charge in Gogebic County Circuit Court.  He was also sentenced to a minimum of 58 months to a maximum of 180 months for Second Degree Vulnerable Adult Abuse.

Peters murdered his wife, Ethel Grenza Peters last summer.  She went missing in August, and her body was found ten days later.

There is no word on where Peters will serve his prison sentence.
