Many always thought the University of Michigan had the state’s most expensive college tuition for in-state students.
But that’s not the case anymore.
That title is now being held by a U.P. university.
Out of the Michigan Public 15 schools, Michigan Tech University ranks as the most expensive.
Tech’s tuition increased as much as 6% this past year, with in-state tuition costing Michigan students a little over $12,000 a year.
Lake Superior State came in 11th, with its tuition up 5.7% percent.
Northern Michigan Univerity ranks as the second-least-expensive Michigan school.
NMU faced a 5% increase this year.
