MSP Trooper from Sault Post Arrested

A Michigan State Police trooper from the eastern U.P. has been arrested.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation is an open criminal complaint, but few details are being released.

A deputy there tells ABC 10 that the off–duty trooper from the Sault Ste. Marie Post lives in Rudyard and was arrested last Thursday afternoon.

The Michigan State Police confirm that a trooper was arrested during an off–duty incident and that the investigation is on going.

Chippewa County authorities say they’re waiting on the results of a blood test that have been sent to a lab.
