MSP employee arrested for drunk driving

SAULT STE. MARIE — A member of the Michigan State Police has been suspended without pay after being arrested for drunk driving.

According to a statement from the MSP, an enforcement member assigned to the Seventh District Headquarters was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated Wednesday night in Sault Ste. Marie. The arrested individual was off–duty at the time.

The person’s name has not been released. The MSP employee will stay suspended without pay until the outcome of the judicial process.
