Mqt. beaches closed Tuesday
Marquette’s public beaches are closed today.
The Marquette Fire Department says high winds, heavy surf and colder-than-average temperatures have led to the closure.
Lifeguards will not be on duty at McCarty’s Cove or at South Beach.
The beaches will re-open when the weather conditions improve.
The fire department says it will release more information Wednesday morning about the beaches either re-opening or remaining closed.
