Mqt. Assault Case On Hold

It’s not clear yet when a Marquette man will next have to return to court on a pair of assault charges.

31–year–old James Christensen had a scheduling conference in Marquette County Circuit Court this morning, but no future appearances have been scheduled for him yet.

Christensen is charged with felonious assault and assault with a dangerous weapon.

The charges come from a stabbing incident at the Long Shot Saloon in Marquette in late August.

Police accuse him of stabbing a 42–year–old Marquette man multiple times on august 24th.

The victim was treated at Marquette General Hospital for non–life–threatening injuries and released.

Police say Christensen left the bar after the stabbing but was quickly found and arrested.

Christensen has posted $5,500 bond.
