More info released on Delta Co. stand-off
The Delta County Sheriff’s Department says the man arrested after a nearly nine-hour stand-off overnight is 62-year-old John Sarasin of Escanaba Township.
Police also say he lives at County 416 J Road. That’s the home in the Flat Rock area of the township where the incident occurred.
Sarasin is charged with unlawful imprisonment and assault with a dangerous weapon.
He’s being held in the Delta County Jail, and there is no bond set for him yet.
Police accuse him of holding his 64-year-old wife hostage for several hours. She had no physical injuries from the incident.
During the armed stand-off, John Sarasin’s brother, 64-year-old Daryl Sarasin, was also arrested for obstructing.
