Moose Killed in Truck Crash
The DNR reports that a moose was killed in a traffic accident last night.
The accident happened on US-41 near Parent Lake on the Baraga County–Marquette County line at about 10 last night.
An elderly man driving a full–size Dodge pickup was not injured, but his truck had major damage.
The DNR says the two-to-three-year-old bull moose weighed
between 700 and 800 pounds.
The meat that could be salvaged will be donated to a Baraga County food bank.
