Michigan Tech hockey returns to top 5 in national poll

ISHPEMING — The Michigan Tech hockey team has returned to top-five status in the country, and NMU has maintained its position this week in one of the national polls.

After a weekend sweep of Alabama-Huntsville on the road, the Huskies rise one position in the USCHO.com poll from #6 last week to #5.

The Wildcats remain in the same position as a week ago at #19 following a split of their two games on the road against the Alaska Nanooks.

North Dakota rises to #1, with Minnesota State, who swept Michigan Tech in Houghton two weeks ago, now sitting at #2. Boston University falls from #1 to #3 after an overtime loss to Harvard last Tuesday.
