Michigan Tech Bogus Rape Suspect Arraigned
The Michigan Tech student who falsely claimed she was raped on campus last month is still in jail tonight.
19-year-old Jennifer Stigers lives on campus.
She faces up to 4 years in prison if she’s convicted of filing a false police report.
She was arrested Monday after she recanted her story that she was raped in a parking lot near the MTU library in late March.
She’s still being held on $1,000 bond, and she has a preliminary exam set for May 4th.
