MGH Patient Room Makeover

The patient rooms at Marquette General will soon get a makeover.

The best part about it — you don’t have to be an actual patient to experience what the newly renovated rooms will look like.

The MGH Foundation is giving community members a peek inside the project before it gets underway.

A “mock room” is being constructed in the hospital’s north building.

MGH Foundation president Pat Bray says it’s a unique way to get community members, as well as possible donors, involved in the development.

They are also building a second room on the eighth floor.

MGH vice president and chief nursing officer Dagmar Raica says that’ll give nurses a chance to comment on the design.

The mock room will be completed and open for visitors within a couple of weeks.

Anyone interested in donating to the renovation project can contact the MGH Foundation at 225–6914.
