Meth lab found in Marquette

Criminal charges are pending in connection with the discovery of a meth lab in Marquette.

The Marquette City Police say it was in an apartment on the 200 block of Rock Street. They received a tip about the lab shortly after 11:30 Monday night.

When city police and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team responded to the tip, they found an active meth lab and numerous meth-making components.

Officers arrested a suspect on a domestic violence charge from a previous incident. That suspect is being held in the Marquette County Jail. Other charges related to the meth lab are pending.

The Marquette Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
