Memorial Day Ceremonies
President Harry Truman once said–
“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid.
They have earned our undying gratitude.
America will never forget their sacrifices.”
The city of Negaunee held its annual Memorial Day ceremony this morning at the Negaunee Cemetery.
Family, friends, and veterans came by the dozens to pay their respects and honor the men and women who have fallen and to those who are still fighting.
A number of ceremonies were held throughout the U.P. today.
The nation as a whole paid tribute at 3 pm with the national moment of remembrance
