Marquette County Board Meeting
The Marquette County Board of Commissioners held a Committee of the Whole meeting tonight.
The board was asked to make a decision regarding a reimbursement request from the Soil Conservation District. This groups is non–funded and mainly supported by grant funding. However, it is facing a budget shortfall, so they are asking the county board for $25,000.
The board decided tonight that they need to look further into this matter and evaluate it for cost effectiveness.
The board also agreed to support the Humboldt Township resolution to keep the Humboldt Mill under an ad valorem tax for the industrial site.
