Marquette Woman Faces Larceny Charge
Police in Negaunee quickly made an arrest in the theft of more than $20,000 from an elderly resident. Just last Friday, the Negaunee PD received a complaint about money missing from the bank account of a 94 year old resident.
An investigation discovered that, over the past year, ten withdrawals were made without the victim’s knowledge. The total loss: more than $20,000.
52 year old Alice Marie Kurian of Marquette has been arrested in the case. She’s charged with “Larceny over $20,000 dollars” A 10 year felony. In addition to jail time, she also could face fines of at least $15,000.
