A department store in Marquette Township is open again for customers after closing unexpectedly on Monday night.
The Kohl’s store at the Westwood Mall closed its doors at about 6 p.m. Monday because of the large amount of snow on its roof.
A spokesperson for the store said the closure was a precautionary measure to asses the structural pressure on the roof. The spokesperson says the company had the building assessed by a structural engineer and removed snow from the roof.
The store remained closed Monday night and all day Tuesday before re-opening at 9 a.m. today.
