Marquette Township Home Burns Down
A Marquette Township family is without a home tonight after their house burned down last night.
Dr. Frederick Hoenke, Gayle Hoenke and their children lived at 149 County Road 550 near Sugarloaf Mountain.
The fire started at about 9:15 last night.
The house is a total loss.
That’s in spite of about 35 firefighters from Marquette, Chocolay and Powell Townships all showing up.
No one was seriously hurt.
But it’s unknown how many people were inside the home at the time, if any.
