Marquette Police get more funding for K-9 unit

The Marquette community continues to help the Marquette City Police raise money for the K–9 Unit.  Frodo rode along with Sargent Marty Munger today to receive a check for the K–9 unit at Bothwell Middle School.

Middle school students and Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity combined their fundraising efforts to present a check for $2,700.

Bothwell raised $2,100 during the school penny war.

Students, teachers and staff collected loose change with grade levels competing against one another.

T–K–E raised $600 during the Tub Push.

Fraternity brothers pushed a tub from Sault Sainte Marie to Marquette in under 35 hours.

The overwhelming support from the community has helped raise over $50,000  for the K–9 unit since the beginning of the year.
