With December now underway, skiers and snow boarders are getting antsy.
But in the Marquette area, the wait is just about over.
The Marquette Mountain ski hill will open for the season tomorrow.
And the ski hill is offering a special win–win deal.
Marquette Mountain general manager Vern Barber says for tomorrow only, if you bring a holiday gift for a child worth more than $10 — preferably a toy — to give to the Mining Journal’s Cheer Club, you’ll get a lift ticket for the day for free.
Barber says this early December opening has been fairly typical in recent years.
