Marquette man sent to prison on meth lab charge

MARQUETTE — A Marquette man will spend at least two and a half years behind bars on a meth lab charge.

Robert Kangas, Jr., 46, has been sentenced to two years and six months to 20 years in prison, with credit for 120 days served. He pleaded guilty in August to operating a meth lab in the presence of a minor.

Kangas was arrested in July at a home on East High Street in Ishpeming after meth-making components and a one-pot generator were found in the home. Two children were also inside the residence.
