Marquette man rolls over numerous times in one car accident

A 27-year-old Marquette man is recovering from injuries sustained during a one car rollover accident on County Road 550 Saturday night.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. near 267 County Road 550. Police say the man was traveling North on CR 550 when he went off the left side of the road, struck a utility guide wire, and rolled over numerous times. The driver was then taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment. No one else was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. His status is unknown.

Police say speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Northern Michigan University Public Safety, Marquette Township Fire, and Marquette General EMS.
