Marquette County man facing child pornography charge

A Marquette County man is facing federal charges after being accused of having child pornography.

Robert Carlson was indicted Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Marquette for possession of child pornography.  He allegedly possessed and intended to view images of child pornography on a computer.

Federal prosecutor Paul Lochner filed forfeiture proceedings against Carlson concerning books, magazine, videos and other material that was in violation of federal child pornography laws, including the computer and 250-gigabyte hard drive that contained the alleged material.

Court officials say the material on Carlson’s computer was manufactured outside the state of Michigan.
