Marquette County Fair kicks off with plenty of food and fun
It’s that time of year again – The Marquette County Fair is officially underway.
The fair will open its doors to the public at noon today with festivities continuing on through Sunday. In addition to the traditional carnival food and rides, each day is filled with its own set of fun and unique activities.
Today’s attendees are being treated to an antique car show, a fireman’s tournament, and poultry and market animal judging. Tomorrow’s events include the open horse show and go kart races. Saturday features a spinning and weaving demo, and an antique & classic tractor pull.
The closing day will see two performances: one from the Men Singing Gospel and another by the Flat Broke Blues Band, both at the Gazebo.
The fun starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $6 for adults and children 12 and up, $1 for children ages five to 11, and children under five get in free.
Wristbands are available for those who plan to attend all four days; $20 for adults, $3 for children.
