Marquette City Commission Meeting
Tonight, members of the Marquette City Commission met to discuss issues on a very packed agenda.
The Marquette City Commission approved three different Kewanee Bay Indian Community funding proposals totaling more than $43,000.
The commission authorized the city to act as the fiscal intermediary for KBIC funding of $10,000 for the Women’s Center for Crisis Intervention Services. Fifteen thousand dollars to implement a program for at–risk Native Americans. As well as, $18,430 for renovations to the Great Lakes Recovery Centers’ Wright Street Facility for Youth and
Adult Residential Substance Abuse Arogramming. The commission considered these to be routine approval items.
