Marquette City Charter Commission Meeting

The Marquette City Charter Commission met tonight for a regular board meeting. They had some minor house cleaning to finish tonight.

The board has been reviewing their policy books. Tonight, they reviewed chapters 8 through 10. This review concentrated on general finance, taxation, and special assessments.

A few questions from board members were raised based on payment in lieu of taxes, known as PILT, with regards to the Board of Light and Power. The board has decided to further discuss their concerns on this issue at their meeting on May 2nd.
