Marquette celebrates the 4th of July in style
Downtown Marquette was decked out in of red, white, and blue to celebrate the Fourth of July in style.
Washington Street was lined with families and friends, all proudly waving flags to honor America on it’s birthday.
Floats, classic cars, and fire trucks showered fans with candy and other goodies to liven the festivities. There was plenty of music, as well, with marching bands and rock groups blasting patriotic songs that echoed throughout the downtown area.
The celebration will be capped off tonight with fireworks at the Lower Harbor starting at dusk.
