Former Marq-Tran bus driver facing felony criminal sexual conduct charges
A former Marq-Tran bus driver faces three felony criminal sexual conduct charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a disabled woman on his bus.
William Arbelius, 62, of Negaunee was arraigned in Ishpeming District Court Friday on three counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct in a mentally disabled relationship. Each CSC count carries a possible 15 year sentence. Marq-Tran officials say he was terminated in September, but they could not comment on the nature of his firing.
The former Republic Township Police Officer will be back in court on March 18th for a preliminary exam.
