BREITUNG TOWNSHIP — Police in Dickinson County are in the process of investigating a marijuana grow operation.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post say they responded to a burglar alarm at a Breitung Township business shortly before 1:00 a.m. Monday morning. Police then discovered the grow operation. Around three pounds of suspected processed marijuana, 78 suspected marijuana plants, and psilocybin mushrooms were seized.
Police say that because the operation is still under investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iron Mountain Police Department.
