MAPS Shawn Dollar Scholarship
From the Marquette Area Public Schools:
To celebrate the life in remembrance of a terrific gentleman who surrounded himself with good friends, good food and good times a new scholarship fund has been established.
The memory of Shawn Michael Dollar, MSHS alumni 1996, will live on through the annual award of this leadership honor.
The first recipients will be presented at the 2013 MSHS Local Scholarship Ceremony in the spring.
Shawn Michael Dollar possessed an outgoing personality, infectious smile and laugh, and made friends easily.
He was a familiar sight around Marquette, riding his road bike, commuting through the streets.
Shawn also had a passion for sports from his earliest years.
He enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge of sports with whoever was interested.
Shawn loved traveling and taking little vacations, family functions, playing fantasy football, attending live sporting events, parties, and was known by the nickname “Dollar.”
To family and friends, Shawn was loyal and happy.
