IRON MOUNTAIN — A man who allegedly exchanged gunfire with police last year has entered a plea agreement.
The Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed with ABC 10 that 50-year-old Richard Goodreau pleaded no contest to five felony counts of assault with intent to murder and one felony firearm charge. He also pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material.
For pleading no contest and guilty to those nine charges, the prosecutor’s office dropped two felony counts of malicious destruction of property and first degree criminal sexual conduct. Goodreau will be sentenced in Dickinson County Circuit Court on March 14.
Goodreau was arrested last February after he was involved in a shooting with police in Norway. Two MSP troopers were injured in the shooting.
