IRON MOUNTAIN — A man who exchanged gunfire with police in Norway last year was sentenced Monday in Dickinson County Circuit Court.
Fifty-year-old Richard Goodreau was sentenced to a total of twenty years to life in prison. He pleaded no contest to five felony counts of assault with intent to murder and one felony firearm charge in January. He also entered a guilty plea to three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material at that time.
Goodreau was arrested last February after he was involved in a shooting with police in Norway. Two Michigan State Police troopers were injured in that incident.
