BESSEMER — A man arrested for possession of bath salts last spring has been sentenced in Gogebic County Circuit Court.
Forty-five-year old Dustin Garrick received six months in jail and eighteen months of probation. He was given credit for 21 days served. Garrick pleaded guilty to attempted possession of bath salts.
He was arrested in May by Michigan State Police after a search warrant at a residence in Wakefield revealed a large quantity of the drug alpha-PVP, commonly known as “bath salts.” As a result of his plea agreement, two other drug charges were dropped.
