MARQUETTE — A Marquette County man will spend the next seven years of his life behind bars for discharging a firearm during a domestic dispute.

Forty two year-old Kevin Leonard Houle of Gwinn has been sentenced in U.S. Federal Court in Marquette. In August, Houle pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

On March 20th, Houle discharged a firearm during a domestic dispute at a home in Forsyth Township. He then led police on a vehicle and foot pursuit before he was arrested.

In addition to his prison sentence, Judge R. Allan Edgar also ordered Houle to serve three years of supervised release after he completes his time behind bars.
