MARQUETTE — A Trenary man involved in a police pursuit back in February has received his sentence.

Forty-four-year old Craig Silta was given one year in jail and twelve months probation in Marquette County Circuit Court this morning. He was also given credit for two hundred fifty five days served, and the balance of his jail term was suspended. Silta pleaded guilty to assaulting or resisting a police officer in November.

He was arrested after he led police on a pursuit when they attempted to stop him for speeding in Skandia.
