DOYLE TOWNSHIP — A man was injured in a motorcycle-deer accident in Doyle Township Sunday morning.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police St. Ignace Post say a 55-year-old Cooks man was driving his 1998 Harley Davidson Fatboy motorcycle eastbound on US-2 near County Road 438 around 9:30 a.m. when he struck two deer in the path of his vehicle.

The motorcycle driver was transported to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique by Manistique Public Safety’s EMS service for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries. The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
