Man headed to prison for criminal sexual conduct

SAULT STE. MARIE — A Sault Ste. Marie man convicted of criminal sexual conduct is headed to prison.

Jeffery Stefanski, 46, was sentenced to eleven to forty years in prison on two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct. He was also given two to fifteen years on one count of second degree CSC. Those sentences will be served concurrently.

Stefanski was arrested by Chippewa County Sheriff’s Deputies in July of 2014. His trial resulted in a guilty verdict. An additional case involving the possession of child sexually abusive material is still pending.
