Man sentenced to 90 days in jail for OWI

A 22–year–old man who led police on a high speed chase in two U.P. counties was sentenced in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday.

Robert Johnson, of Wilson was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for nine days on an operating while impaired charge.

On a second charge of fleeing and eluding a police officer, Johnson was given a twelve month delay of sentence and ordered to pay $800 in court fines.

Johnson fled from police a traffic stop in Skandia Township in August.  He led police on a high speed chase into Delta County before losing control of his motorcycle on U.S. 2.
