UPDATE: Names released in fatal motorcycle accident

UPDATE — 1:35 p.m. July 27, 2015 (EST)

The names of the two people involved in Friday night’s fatal motorcycle accident in Escanaba have been released.

55-year-old Glenn White was pronounced dead at the scene. White was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson Motorcycle at the time of the crash. The other person involved in the accident, 51-year-old Mary Deiter, sought her own medical treatment at St. Francis Hospital. Deiter was driving a 2011 Ford Escape at the time of the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.


 

ESCANABA — One person is dead after a motorcycle accident Friday night in the city of Escanaba.

Escanaba Public Safety says the motorcycle vs. car accident happened just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Ludington Street and 30th Street North. When police arrived on scene, the person on the motorcycle was already deceased.

Police have not yet released the name of the deceased motorcyclist. The driver of the car involved in the accident had minor injuries.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
