Man charged in Dickinson Co. marijuana bust
A major marijuana bust in Dickinson County could land one man behind bars for at least seven years.
52–year–old Mark Baker, of Channing, was arraigned in Dickinson County’s 95th District Court where he was charged with Delivery/Manufacture of between five and 45 kilograms of marijuana. That charge has a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
Baker is also charged with Habitual Offender, Third Offense, which doubles the maximum sentence.
Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post of the Michigan State Police made the bust at a home in Channing May 15 where they were looking for a suspect wanted on a parole violation.
Troopers say they seized marijuana plants and processed material with a street value of more than $121,000.
Baker is scheduled for a preliminary exam on May 31 at 9:15 a.m.
