MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A Champion Township man is facing multiple drug related charges after he was arrested by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday morning.

Just after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the area of Erickson and Badger Streets in Marquette Township. A concerned neighbor notified police of a suspicious person roaming the neighborhood.

When police made contact with a 26-year-old man, he did not provide the deputy consistent information as to why he was in the area. Further investigation by police found that the man was riding a stolen bicycle that he allegedly stole from a nearby residence. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, where he provided police information about several break and entry crimes in the area. Police say they’ve been investigating break-ins in the Trowbridge Area of Marquette Township for several months.
