A suspect has been identified following a stabbing in the City of Munising Sunday night.

Court officials tell ABC 10 that 19-year-old Mason Bernard will be formally charged with felonious assault on Tuesday.

Bernard was arrested by the Munising Police Department after they say he stabbed a 25-year-old man.

The victim was taken to UP Health System – Marquette, where he’s currently listed in stable condition.


MUNISING — An arrest was made following a stabbing incident that took place in Munising last night.

The Munising Police Department reported that a nineteen year old Munising resident was arrested around 11:30 p.m. yesterday for felonious assault after he allegedly stabbed a twenty-five year old Munising man.

Following the altercation, the victim was transported to UP Health System – Marquette, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The suspect’s name is being withheld at this time, pending arraignment in Alger County District Court.
