NEGAUNEE — An Upper Peninsula man was arrested by police after a rollover accident Monday afternoon.

Just after 2:30 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a one–vehicle rollover accident on County Road 480 in the city of Negaunee. A 37-year-old man, who police say is from Menominee but is known to stay in Ishpeming, lost control of his pickup, sending it barreling off of the roadway.

The man was not injured. Police arrested the man for driving with a suspended license. Distracted driving is believed to be the cause of the accident. The accident remains under investigation.

The Negaunee City Police were assisted at the scene by the Negaunee Fire Department along with the Michigan State Police.
