Man arrested after domestic assault investigation

IRON MOUNTAIN — An Iron Mountain man is in jail after an investigation into two separate domestic assaults.

Officials from the Iron Mountain Police Department say 26-year-old Joshua Faccio was apprehended in Marinette County, Wisconsin, on Friday on an arrest warrant issued by Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards. The warrant was issued after an investigation into the two separate assaults that police say happened in March.

Faccio is charged with assault by strangulation — a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison — and domestic violence, which is a 93-day misdemeanor. He is also being charged as a habitual offender. Police say Faccio waived extradition and was transported to the Dickinson County Correctional Center, where he is lodged on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.

Faccio is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam in Dickinson County District Court on April 21st.
