Major snow fall finally hits the Upper Peninsula

MARQUETTE — U.P. residents woke up to a fresh covering of snow this morning. Lack of snow fall this winter is know longer an issue, as one to four inches are expected to fall throughout the day.

Winds are anticipated to pick up as the day goes along. A mix of snowfall and rain are predicted later this evening. With a drop in temperature and wet roads, drivers are encouraged to drive slow and with caution.

And we could see an inch or two of snowfall on Saturday, before extra cold weather moves in Sunday and into next week.
