Lost hunter found safe

A man has been found safe after deputies from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, along with Marquette County Search and Rescue, responded to a report of a missing hunter in Richmond Township late Sunday night at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Timothy Smith, age 56 of Marquette, was tracking a deer when he was turned around and became lost. Smith was able to make contact with authorities multiple times with his cell phone, which provided officials with G.P.S. coordinates.
