Local theater celebrates after a long production season

NEGAUNEE — We’re in the midst of award season and one local theater didn’t want to miss out on the fun!

Tuesday night, the Historic Vista Theater held their PAAC Awards and Banquet. The celebration is meant to honor the hard work of everyone who contributes to the Vista’s productions. Bobby Glenn Brown, who is a staple at the theater, also received a great honor: The Vista Icon Award.

“I’m very humbled by it. I do have a lot of support from friends and family but a lot of it is just people who just come and see me perform and that’s an incredible feeling,” Bobby said.

This is the first year for the Icon Award, which celebrates a lifetime of performing. That’s a perfect fit for Bobby, who’s been performing for twenty years.
