MARQUETTE — The Marquette Builders Exchange and The U.P. Home Builders Association are preparing for their annual expo and are holding a contest for some free perks.
The annual 2016 U.P. Builders Show is on the way and spots are filling up fast. The expo showcases two hundred booths and one hundred and thirty exhibitors who are in the business of helping people make their home improvement dreams come true.
Co-Coordinator of the Builders Show Jennifer Lammi says, “The ideal guest would be someone who’s doing a home-building project, garden project, you want to increase your efficiency in your home, adding some insulation, putting new windows in, any project that you want to do in your house would be perfect.”
Before the show even starts the organizations are holding a contest with some great perks for contractors wanting to participate in the showcase.
“Well we’re looking for a new product or service. Something that’s innovative,” Lammi added, “it could be green, it could be healthy homes, it could be energy efficiency, something that is going to take these building products to the next level, something that you think might be something of the future.”
A panel will narrow down the submissions to five entries, which the public will have an opportunity to vote on. The winner will receive five thousand dollars in advertising and a free booth at the show.
