MARQUETTE — There are two things Michiganders seem to truly love: beer and euchre.
That’s why the Ore Dock Brewery in Marquette is hosting a six week euchre tournament. They got the idea from some locals who played casually over drinks. Now it’s a bit more organized.
“We’re definitely a community grown company. We really try to host a variety of different groups and events and programming in the space, both in the tap room and in the community space upstairs,” said Lizzie Corser, the Tap Room and Events Manager at the brewery, “It’s a great opportunity to have a couple good beers, see what’s on tap here at the Ore Dock. Obviously we’re a big craft beer state and euchre fits in with the Michigan tradition, so it’s a good opportunity to bring it all together.”
The tournament is scored on an individual basis and runs through March 15th. At the end, the person with the most points will win a limited edition Superior Source Drink Tank. You don’t have to sign up, just come on down and have a good time.
