MARQUETTE — On Monday, Brookridge Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care announced they will be limiting visitation for the health and safety of residents until further notice.
The limited visitation hours stem from numerous flu outbreaks throughout Marquette County. The visitor restrictions are put in place to protect residents and staff from contracting and spreading the flu.
Members from Brookridge Heights confirm that there has not been an outbreak of the flu virus, but are issuing this rule as a precautionary measure.
“Our seniors are at a higher risk for getting sick,” said Brookridge Heights CEO Neal Crothers, “and we want to do everything we can to help protect and keep them healthy. This is just a temporary restriction and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation during this time.”
The public will be notified when the current restriction has been lifted.
