Lights of Love honors loved ones

Lots of love took over at Bell Hospital Thursday night.

The Bell Auxiliary and Volunteer Services group held its annual Lights of Love Christmas tribute.

There was standing room only as family and friends showed up to pay honor and give tribute to loved ones lost.  After names of loved ones were read, ornaments were hung on the tree to memorialize those who are gone but never forgotten.

“This is just one of the feel good things Bell Auxiliary really has a passion for, we really believe in the community and remembering everyone and this is one of our favorite events, so this will never go away,” Julie Solka from Bell Hospital said.

“Well I think the most memorable moment for me was when I bought an ornament for my parents and placed it on the tree.  Then my husband, when his parents passed we also bought ornaments for them and placed them on the tree,” Debbie Bussone from Bell Hospital said.  “You also have an ornament to take home as a keepsake and so you can put them on your tree year after year and this reminds us of our family.”

Some of the ornaments on the tree are from the very first program.

This is the 18th year for the hospital’s Lights of Love.
